Current Programs

Entry Level Kids: 5-9 year olds. Fundamental martial arts skills and coordination.

Level I Kids: 7-11 year olds. Mixed Martial Arts and Self Defense class that covers realistic defense for this age group, bully-proofing, and character education. Kids learn kickboxing, karate, krav maga, and grappling through fun, ninja-esque games and drills.

Level II Kids: 9-14 year olds. Mixed Martial Arts and Self Defense class. Covers higher level Jiu Jitsu ground techniques, Muay Thai kickboxing, Krav Maga, and character education in an exciting, kid-friendly format.

Entry Level Teens: 12ish to 15ish. A self defense and fitness class that includes training in Muay Thai Kickboxing, Krav Maga, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Teens and Adults: 15ish yrs and up. A self defense and fitness class that includes training in Muay Thai Kickboxing, Krav Maga, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Curriculum

Muay Thai Kickboxing: Western boxing strikes and defenses combined with the use of knees, elbows, kicks and clinch fighting.

Kenpo Karate: Modern karate skills focused on practical striking and increased dexterity.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu: Submission grappling (ground fighting) that includes takedowns, takedown defense, positioning, sweeps, escapes, arm/leg locks and chokes.

Krav Maga: Official fighting system of the Israeli Military. This is a tactical street-fighting system that includes defense from multiple opponents, blunt objects and edged weapons.

Whether you are looking to get your child into Martial Arts, or need private lessons, there are plenty of options to leverage in your martial arts training journey.

Yes! We have open enrollment. Students can enroll and start at any time.

Each class consists of a mix of Muay Thai Kickboxing, Karate, Krav Maga, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

About Us

Elite Martial Arts is located in Brentwood, Tennessee. Our studio is about 20 minutes from downtown Nashville and conveniently located right near the Brentwood/Franklin border in Williamson County Tennessee. We have four seasoned instructors ready to help you on your martial arts journey.

Daniel Klapheke
Owner and Lead Instructor

Daniel Klapheke is the owner and head instructor of Elite Martial Arts of Brentwood. He has over 40 years of Martial Arts experience and has been teaching professionally for over 27 years. He is a 6th degree Black Belt in Shaolin Kenpo Karate, a 2nd degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, a Black Belt in American Kenpo, has trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for more than 24 years and holds a blue belt.

He is a certified Krav Maga instructor, has extensive training in Muay Thai Kickboxing and Modern Arnis (stick fighting). He trained William Zabka (Johnny Lawrence) and Martin Kove (Sensei Kreese) for season 6 of Netflix’s Cobra Kai

Alisha Klapheke
Co-Owner and Instructor

Alisha Klapheke is the Co-Owner/Instructor. She has been training in martial arts for over 20 years and holds 3rd Degree Black Belt in Elite Mixed Martial Arts and a Black Belt in Kenpo Karate.

She has extensive training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Krav Maga. She has a master’s degree in education. After teaching elementary school for 5 years, she has made the commitment to teaching martial arts full time.

Davis Young
Assistant instructor

Davis is an assistant instructor and has been training in martial arts for over 11 years. He holds a 3rd degree black belt in the EMA belt system. He is well versed in muay Thai kickboxing, karate, and BJJ.

Daniel Spatz
Assistant instructor

Daniel is an assistant instructor and has been training in martial arts for 11 years. He holds a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Elite Mixed Martial Arts. He is well versed in Muay Thai kickboxing, karate, BJJ, and karate.
